Sunset Walk is a linocut print based on a photograph I took in April 2023 while walking my dogs. I was drawn towards the composition and color scheme, and I knew after snapping the photo that I wanted to base a print on it.

This print captures the last remaining sunlight of that day. The foreground and middleground contain silhouettes of trees that frame the buildings in the background. This print shows that beauty can be found in everyday routines, such as evening walks and the architecture you interact with daily.

Sunset Walk has five layers and nine colors. Each layer was hand-carved onto linoleum and printed by hand. Check out my Instagram and TikTok pages to see the creation of this piece.
